ERP Project for Tire/Wheel and Table Manufacturer
Our client, a custom assembly services provider for OEM powersports, specializes in serving Polaris Industries. The company’s core operations include tire and wheel assembly, plastic body parts, and welding and fabrication. Their assembly model integrates Just-In-Time (JIT) systems with Polaris, maintaining consignment inventories and fulfilling orders across three U.S. locations.

The Challenges
Operating primarily for Polaris Industries, Intercept handles complex real-time logistics in the powersports sector. Their legacy ERP, Made to Manage (M2M), could no longer support growth, scaling, or evolving customer demands.
Traceability
Lack of proper tracking of components, with similar-looking parts being an issue.
Table Corruption
Ongoing corruption in M2M was creating data inconsistencies.
Scaling Problems
M2M’s on-premise system couldn’t support global operations or the company’s expansion.
Barcode Pilot
An existing barcode system was not fully integrated, affecting operational efficiency

The Solution
Scalable ERP Upgrade with D365 Business Central and Lanham Integration
Satva Softech implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Essentials, integrating Lanham WMS Eship & EDI, replacing M2M. BC’s cloud-based platform provided scalability, global support, and the opportunity for seamless upgrades. It also facilitated better integration with existing Microsoft tools like Excel, addressing the traceability requirements of Polaris.
ERP Integration
Migration of historical data, including GL, item invoices, and more, into Business Central Essentials.
Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Lanham WMS to handle consignment inventories and track parts across the production line.
Barcode and EDI Integration
Enhanced barcode scanning system for part traceability, fulfilling Polaris’ requirements.
Global Expansion Support
Cloud-based architecture for supporting multiple sites (US, Mexico, Poland).

The Result
Satva Softech’s implementation of Business Central Essentials successfully resolved Our client’s operational challenges, particularly around part traceability and scalability. This ERP upgrade set Intercept on a path for sustained growth, ensuring that the company’s evolving needs were met with robust, modern technology.
